The 2011 Lacrosse Season is over!  We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to next year.  Keep your eye on this website for postings on Drop-in Winter Lacrosse, and Registration for the 2012 Season (expected to be held in February 2012).  Lacrosse season will resume in April.  

At the June 9 AGM, the proposed Bylaws were approved and the 2011/2012 Board of Directors was elected.  New President is Dan Basisty and Vice is Denise Boulerice.  Click in the "Information" tab for complete list.  There is still one Director vacancy; contact Dan if you would like to contribute to the administration of WLA. 

WE LOVE IT!  We apologize for the website problems we encountered this spring; it created a lot of extra work to administer WLA and get info out to parents and coaches.  That is behind us now... but for the rest of this season, we will not be using full functionality of the website, as most team information is already in your hands.  For the 2012 season, we will be able to download player information and game schedules directly into this website - and each team will have its own page for easy communication!  Check back regularly for "News" as we will continue to update and add items of interest to everyone as the season progresses. Thank you to Sheila K, who has agreed to be our webmaster.

We are entirely volunteer-driven, and volunteers are always needed for various positions on teams and administering the Association.  If everyone takes on a small role, it makes it manageable to provide a great lacrosse experience for our 150+ local players!  In addition to our great Coaches and Team Managers, volunteers make up the WLA Board; assist with fundraising (sell 50/50's at Rush games, organize bottle drive, sell Sobeys cards); help keep our floor in great shape by mopping it with speedtrack; and assisting other ways.  If you are interested in helping out in any way, please tell any member of the Board, and we'll get in touch with you!
