2010 Registration Night will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Westlock Recreation Centre (Pool) from 6:30-8:30 PM.  It is important that all interested players register at the Registration Night so that we can plan our team and equipment requirements.

Junior players:  we will be playing RMLL Tier II North this year - teams from Edmonton and area, Red Deer and Vermillion.  See Junior, under "Teams" tab for a link to the RMLL website.

Regular lacrosse season runs from April 6 until the end of June or into early July, depending on playoffs/provincials.  Practice schedules will be set in March and posted on this website.  GELC league games will start April 17, and RMLL (Junior) games on April 22.

 
DROP-IN/TRY-IT NIGHTS


We have one last drop-in night for all players, scheduled for Friday February 26 at RF Staples Main Gym:
  6-7 PM Mini-Tyke, Tyke, Novice returning playres AND new players who want to try the game;
  7-8 PM Novice and Peewee players;
  8-9 PM Bantam, Midget, and Junior players. 
$2 fee for drop-in; free for try-it players.  BRING A BUDDY!
non-contact scrimmages; bring helmet with cage, gloves, runners, and stick.

FEMALE LACROSSE PLAYERS !!!
We are hosting a try-it / drop-in night for girls only ... Wed Feb 17 at 7:00 at Westlock Elementary School.  We'll have some special guests in to run this session, for female lacrosse players and any new girls who want to come out to try the game out!  We'll have some extra sticks on hand - bring a helmet with a cage, gloves and running shoes.  Bring your mom to try it out too!


If you want more winter lacrosse, other GELC Clubs are offering drop-in sessions which are open to all - check the GELC website.


EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO PLAY LACROSSE:
Helmet with cage; gloves (either hockey or lacrosse gloves); arm and elbow protection; chest protector; kidney protector; athletic protector; mouthguard; shorts; kneepads (mandatory at Midget and below); practice jersey; lacrosse stick; and a good pair of shoes (basketball, court, or running shoes).
